Ministry of Detainnes: A raise in the number of female detainees infected with Covid-19

The Ministry warned about the seriousness of the health conditions that the female detainees live through in Al-Damon prison after three new detainees were confirmed to have Covid-19, abd this increases the number to 10.

It also indicated that the continuing increase in the numbers of infected female detainees refers to the bad conditions they are living through inside Al-Damon prison as there are no sufficient protection measures.

Since the beginning of the year, the total number of recorded infections with Covid-19 among Palestinian detainees in the prison (Negev, Raymond and Ofer) and Damoun, has reached 50, amid a health deterioration of the patients due to the lack of appropriate treatment.
