YouTube shuts down the channel of the Ministry of detainees which works on showing the truth of the current situation of the Palestinian detainees.
The Ministry of Detainees denounced the unjustified step taken by YouTube to ban the Ministry’s channel on the platform. The channel conveys the suffering and conditions of detainees in the occupation prisons, in addition to videos and excerpts of some of the events and conferences that the Ministry carries out in solidarity with the detainees.
The ministry said in a statement that this step falls within the war against the Palestinian content by banning and deleting the channel with all videos and media materials under the pretext of violating the so-called “privacy and publishing standards”.
The ministry considered this aa a denial of the values, principles and conditions that the YouTube administration committed itself to creating a vast virtual space for freedom of opinion and expression.
This falls under the systematic and continuous policy of pursuing and fighting Palestinian content at the behest of the Israeli occupation authorities and in a continuous, clear and explicit bias to the Zionist narrative.
