Ministry of Detainees: The occupation forces release Raaed Salah free after spending 17 months inside jails.

The Ministry of Detainees’ reported that the occupation authorities released Raed Salah, 64 years, after spending 479 days in solitary confinement in Ashkelon Prison.

The ministry stated that despite the age and difficult health condition of Raed Salah, he was put in solitary confinement. The occupation forces always arrested him in a previously planned manner, and the aim was to keep him away from Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque. However, he always showed strength despite isolation and had distinguished presence in every field.

The ministry added that Salah, since entering Ashkelon prison, has been subjected to solitary confinement and his request to be transferred to a prison in the north near his place of residence has been rejected.

It is noteworthy that Raed Salah was arrested several times during the previous years, the last of which was on 10/2/2019, under the pretext of inciting terrorism and working to support Islamic institutions.
